Patrick S. Muhammad is one of the most sought after educational, motivational, and spiritual lecturers in the country. His knowledge base and picture perfect delivery style allows audiences to grasp information with ease. He has constantly and consistently left audiences requesting for more. Known as The Principal Farmer, Patrick combines two of his passions into inspiring package.
Patrick was born in East St. Louis, Il the only son of proud parents, Robert Smoot, Jr. and M. Catherine Smoot. Raised with his two brilliant sisters Deidra Green now in Atlanta and Robyn Smoot who has been with the Lord since April 1999. Upon completion of Lincoln Sr. High School, he went on to pursue his college career at HBCU- Kentucky State University. While at KSU, he excelled in Men’s Basketball and served as President of Alpha Phi Alpha, Inc. Beta Mu Chapter (Spring ’95).
Patrick graduated from KSU in May of 1997 with a B.S. in Health and Physical Education and moved to Atlanta, GA. In July of 1999, Patrick married Ishtar Renee Evans. They have 3 beautiful children, Ishlah K’ Erma- 17, Ishijah ShaHeed- 13, and Ishtafah Irram Muhammad, 6.
In December 2000, he completed his M. Ed. in Educational Leadership and in December 2004 Ed. S. Educational Leadership both at Georgia State University, and in 2012 Patrick completed and Ed. S in Curriculum and Instruction from Capella University.
Over the past 20+ years, Patrick has worked in public education in the Atlanta area. The past 16 years, he has served as an elementary administrator with an approval rating consistently in the 95th percentile.
Patrick has authored several books, Little Librarian Girl, Wear My Shoes, Please!, The Proper Handling of People in the Business of Education, Where’s My Dad, 30 Leadership Principles to Lead By, Point Guard Leadership, and The Principal Farmer has a farm.
Patrick & Ishtar founded, RATHSI Publishing, LLC in November 2008. Since its inception, the couple has successfully published over 200 new authors and have a waiting list of over 50 clients.
Patrick also founded, the Reaching Back 4U Global Foundation, 501c3. The organization focus is to engage families, business, and education through the means of agriculture.
Patrick and his family run and operate a 30 acre farm outside of Atlanta.
